A part of the enchanted Antiguan environment is its surrounding areas, which differentiate the horizon in this beautiful city. On this charming horizon, you can see three silent volcanoes that are a very important part of the city's history. The mountains preserve some forest areas, many belonging to coffee plantations still operating around the city. In addition, there are lights from small towns (which are part of the Antigua Guatemala municipal jurisdictions), seen only at night. Some of these towns are very famous, based on the distinctive activities performed by the townspeople. We suggest visiting some interesting places close to the city. You can get there either by a private transport, or public transportation at the bus station, which is located in the western part of the city near the market. |
