Church and Convent of Nuestra Señora de El Carmen

It was initially opened in 1638 and collapsed by the first earthquakes suffered in the city due to a poor construction. A larger temple was built and inaugurated in 1686. It was damaged by the earthquake in 1717.
In 1728, the third church was inaugurated and distinguished for the finest and most beautiful interior finishing in the city of Santiago. The facade shows one of the most baroque styles in the city. It was destroyed in 1773.
