The Nativities

The Nativity scenes showcase the Holy Family (Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and Baby Jesus), attended by the Wise Men, an ox and mule, angels and shepards, at the birth of the Son of God. Families transform part of their homes to look like the Nativity in Bethlehem . Depending upon the family's means, different materials are used and a variety of sizes are evident. Also, churches display Nativity scenes in their interiors, close to the High Altar. These Nacimientos show the typical Middle Eastern attire and surroundings.
