First Week Korea Tuesday at EL SITIO (10.3): Spring, summer, fall, winter… A lovely Taoist tale takes us to a World of oriental iconography. A young monk experiments the loss of his innocence when the arrival of a woman awakes in him feelings that he didn’t know before. Nobody is immune to the power of the seasons and it annual cycle of birth, growth and decay. Colourful Wednesday (10.4): The naturalist representation of sea live of Carlos Arriola brings us closer to the traditions of a country in which everyday live as a close relationship to the sea. Thursdays Movie (5.10): We will repeat in our restaurant the movie shown in El Sitio. Saturday Night Live (7.10): Live music played by Roberto Estrada and Scott Stanton. Classic and contemporary Jazz, spiced with some sounds from South-East Asia.
Hungry Tuesday at EL SITIO (10.10): Kontroll (2004) Harsh and gentle at the same time. Filmed entirely in the Budapest Subway. An ambitious film that combines comedy and action in a horror movie style. Colourful Wednesday (10.11): An exposition of two artists, the first from Eastern Europe (Enrique Cay) and the second one Guatemalan (Alex Santander), show us how different two distant societies represent their spiritual life. Thursdays Movie (10.12): We will repeat in our restaurant the movie shown in El Sitio. Saturday Night Live (10.14): Live music played by Roberto Estrada and Scott Stanton. Classic and contemporary Jazz, with a Hungarian twist.
Brazil Tuesday at EL SITIO (10.17): Janela Da Alma José Saramago, Remeto Pascoal, Oliver Sacks, Wim Wenders and other 15 famous people, with different grades of eyes deficiencies, tell the story of how they sea other people, themselves and the World. An emotional remark about the act of seeing (or not seeing) the World. Colourful Wednesday (10.18): Several Guatemalan artists reflect trough their still live paintings the colourfulness of an exotic Brazil. Thursdays Movie (10.19): We will repeat in our restaurant the movie shown in El Sitio. Saturday Night Live (10.21): Live music played by Roberto Estrada and Scott Stanton. Classic and contemporary Jazz and of course, the best Bossa Nova Hits.
New Zealand Tuesday at EL SITIO (10.24): Once Were Warriors (1995) The producer of New Zealand marks with his debut the start of his country to film the problem of modern Maori society. Colourful Wednesday (10.25): Ana Lucrecia Sunum transports us throw her World of colours to a country as colourful as ours. Thursdays Movie (10.26): We will repeat in our restaurant the movie shown in El Sitio. Friday Night Live (10.27): Live music played by Roberto Estrada and Scott Stanton. Classic and contemporary Jazz, beating the exotic Maori compass.
Mozambique Tuesday at EL SITIO (10.31): Mama Africa - She's In Your Soul (2002) Three short-movies, introduced by actress and singer Queen Latifah, describe difficult moral problems of African people that not always can be resolved. Produced and acted by young and talented African actors and directors. Colourful Wednesday (11.1): The contrasts in expressions and colours of this two artist, Mynor Cojulun and Cesar Cartagena, reflect the contrast between societies and landscape of Africa itself. Thursdays Movie (11.2): We will repeat in our restaurant the movie shown in El Sitio. Saturday Night Live (11.4): Live music played by Roberto Estrada and Scott Stanton. Classic and contemporary Jazz and of course, accompanied by the strong African rhythm. |
